The excitement of St. Maarten Carnival continues to build going into its second week, bringing together legendary performers, cultural showcases, and high-energy entertainment.
THURSDAY, APRIL 16 – THE VILLAGE CHILL – 6:00 PM
The week begins with a laid-back but lively start at The Village Chill, setting the tone for the days ahead. Patrons can expect good vibes, music, and a relaxed atmosphere as Carnival momentum begins to rise.
FRIDAY, APRIL 17 – KING BEAU BEAU & FRIENDS: FROM THEN TO NOW – 8:00 PM
Friday night shines a spotlight on one of St. Maarten’s most celebrated musical icons, Leroy Brooks, in a special concert titled “King Beau Beau: From Then to Now.”
With a career spanning decades, King Beau Beau has become synonymous with Carnival, earning an impressive list of accolades including 12-time Calypso Monarch, multiple Road March titles, and regional crowns across the Caribbean. The show will also feature guest appearances by fellow calypso greats King Genius, King Jacko, and Kaiso Brat, celebrating the roots of the artform and its enduring cultural relevance.
SATURDAY, APRIL 18 – BAND CLASH & ROAD MARCH COMPETITION – 8:00 PM
Saturday brings competitive energy as music trucks battle for supremacy in the Band Clash and Road March Competition. Expect powerful performances as bands and artistes battle for bragging rights and Carnival glory, delivering crowd-pumping rhythms and infectious beats.
SUNDAY, APRIL 19 – JUNIOR CARNIVAL PARADE – 1:00 PM
Sunday belongs to the island’s youth with the highly anticipated Junior Carnival Parade. Beginning at 1:00pm from John Cooper Jose Lake Sr. Ballpark, the parade winds its way through Philipsburg before ending at the Festival Village. This family-friendly event is a colourful celebration of creativity and culture, featuring children and teens in dazzling costumes, lively dance routines, and vibrant displays of Caribbean pride. Spectators are encouraged to arrive early, stay hydrated, and come prepared for a full afternoon of fun under the sun.
MONDAY, APRIL 20 – TEEN & SENIOR CARNIVAL PAGEANTS – 8:00 PM
The spotlight shifts to elegance and talent on Monday with the Teen and Senior Carnival Queen Pageants, where contestants showcase poise, intelligence, and cultural awareness in one of Carnival’s most anticipated competitions. These young talented teenager contestants bring energy, creativity, and fearless ambition as they compete in talent, speech, and dazzling presentations. Competing for the teen crown are contestants Z’naiyrah George, D’angelique Harregan, Chrisincia Mathew, Dwanijsha Reid and Aalyah Ash, among others. This is where future leaders are born and where the crowd discovers new favourites.
Also on April 20 is the Senior Carnival Queen Pageant, where elegance meets excellence in one of Carnival’s most prestigious titles. Contestants will command the stage with poise, intelligence, and powerful performances as they compete for the crown and the honour of representing Sint Maarten on a regional level. Competing for the senior crown are contestants Breyenne Brown, Taylor Brown and Leann Richardson, among others. This pageant is not just a competition – it’s a gateway to international representation, with winners going on to compete across the Caribbean.
TUESDAY, APRIL 21 – NAGICO SENIOR CALYPSO FINALS – 8:00 PM
The stage is set for one of the anticipated cultural showdowns of the season, as the Senior Calypso Finals make a return this year to the Carnival calendar of events. Following a competitive elimination round that saw nearly 20 calypsonians battle for a place in the next stage, 10 finalists have officially secured their spots in the grand finals. These finalists will take centre stage in Carnival Village, each bringing powerful lyrics, social commentary, and musical creativity in pursuit of the coveted title.
The 2026 finalists represent a dynamic mix of seasoned performers and rising voices that are ready for the spotlight. With equal representation of male and female performers, this year’s finals promise diversity in style, message, and performance energy. A recent elimination round already showcased the intensity of the competition, with performers delivering sharp messages and crowd-engaging performances that set the tone for the finals. Admission to the event is US $20.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22 – SOULFUL COMPANY: OUR SUPERSTARS – 8:00 PM
Midweek festivities continue with “Soulful Company – Our Superstars” – a Motown experience highlighting some of the region’s finest vocalists and performers in an evening dedicated to soulful sounds and star power.
THURSDAY, APRIL 23 – KONCERT X – 9:00 PM
The week culminates with the return of Koncert X, led by Kelvin James. Known for its nonstop format, the show delivers a seamless, high-energy musical experience featuring a mix of local and international acts. Unlike traditional events, Koncert X offers a continuous flow of live performances backed by a single band, creating an immersive concert atmosphere rooted in Caribbean music. With enhanced production, surprise guest appearances, and a growing reputation, the event continues to carve out its place as a must-attend highlight of Carnival.
FRIDAY, APRIL 24 – ONE LOVE REGGAE CONCERT – 8:00 PM
Headlining the concert is Morgan Heritage, a multi-Grammy Award-winning reggae institution whose music, message, and mission have helped define modern roots reggae for over three decades.
Reggae Night will also feature Jamaican reggae talent D’Yani, an artiste steadily carving his name into the modern reggae and dancehall scene. The One Love Reggae Concert will transform Jocelyn Arndell Festival Village into a hub of pulsating rhythms, positive vibrations, and unity. This night is a celebration of true reggae message of peace, love, and togetherness set against the colourful backdrop of Carnival.
