Caribbean entrepreneur-turned-author Gramey Browne launches two children’s books

Mountain Trails and Ocean Waves

Celebrated Caribbean entrepreneur and bestselling author Gramey Browne will launch his two new children’s books – Mountain Trails: A Father and Son Nature Adventure and Ocean Waves: A Father and Son Beach Adventure – on Saturday, November 8, from 11:00am to 12:30pm at the Philipsburg branch of the St. Maarten Library (upstairs Adolphus Richardson Office Supply). The launch marks another milestone for Browne, who has published eight books across multiple genres in less than two years, proving that creativity knows no age limit.

Reconnecting families with nature

Both Mountain Trails and Ocean Waves inspire families to unplug from technology and rediscover the beauty of outdoor adventures. The stories follow seven-year-old Calvin and his father George on memorable Saturday outings that strengthen their bond while exploring St. Maarten’s natural wonders.

In Mountain Trails, the duo hikes scenic trails, meets friendly locals, and reaches a stunning hilltop view of Simpson Bay. Ocean Waves continues their journey at Kim Sha Beach, where they swim, dig in the sand, and make new friends.

“In a world full of digital distractions, these stories remind us of the simple joy of exploring nature together,” said Browne.

From entrepreneur to prolific author

Born in St. Kitts and raised on St. Eustatius and St. Maarten, Browne built a successful 30-year career as an entrepreneur before turning to writing. Ranging from memoirs and fiction, to self-help and children’s literature, his books reflect his lifelong passion for storytelling and mentorship.

Educational value for families and teachers

Each book includes free downloadable educational materials, featuring vocabulary exercises, discussion guides, writing prompts, art activities, and assessments – making them valuable classroom and home resources.
