Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day was celebrated on Sunday, May 8, and we hope that everyone did a little something special for their mothers (or for whoever takes on the role of the mother, such as step-mother, grandmother or aunt). Maybe you made Mom breakfast or a Mother’s Day card, or simply said “thank you” to her for all the work she does. There’s no one quite like Mom.

We’ve gathered some sweet quotes about how special Moms are:

“A mother understands what a child does not say.” —Jewish proverb

“The art of mothering is to teach the art of living to children.” —Elaine Heffner

“A mother is your first friend, your best friend, your forever friend.” —Unknown

“The world needs our mothers.” —Liya Kebede

“A mother’s hug lasts long after she lets go.” —Unknown

“Life began with waking up and loving my mother’s face.” —George Eliot

“There is no influence so powerful as that of the mother.” —Sara Josepha Hale

“A mother’s arms are made of tenderness and children sleep soundly in them.” —Victor Hugo

“Mothers hold their children’s hands for a short while, but their hearts forever.” —Unknown

“To the world, you are a mother, but to your family, you are the world.” —Unknown

“Heaven is at the feet of mothers.” —Arabic proverb
