MARIGOT--A car-jacking attempt occurred in Grand Case on Monday at 10:45pm, but the perpetrator did not manage to steal the car.
Despite holding at gunpoint the two women occupying the car, both residents of St. Martin, the perpetrator did not follow through with the theft and fled the scene in the car of an accomplice.
Capitaine Emmanuel Maignan indicated the perpetrator appeared to have changed his mind after realising he did not have enough time to steal the car.
There was no violence and the women were unharmed. The incident is under investigation.
