Available moisture and daytime heating could trigger a brief local shower this afternoon. However, an approaching tropical wave will bring moisture and instability across the Region later tonight into Friday. As a result, increase in winds, cloudiness and showers can be expected across the local area.
Sea conditions are expected to rise with the passage of the tropical wave. Small craft operators should exercise caution.

Tropical depression Eight became Tropical storm Henri and was located this morning over the western Atlantic, east-southeast of Bermuda and moves in a northerly direction. This tropical weather system doesn't pose a threat to St. Maarten.
