Public Service Centre to introduce online services

SIMPSON BAY--Online services and online appointments for various services are amongst the improvements the Public Service Centre (PSC) in Simpson Bay will be making in 2015 and 2016.

PSC said in a press release on Thursday that its staffers were being trained to be able to continue to provide “efficient and effective” services to the public. According to the release, a “customer-oriented government” is seen at the centre point in the enhancement of residents’ quality of life.

The PSC was established as a pilot project to improve services to the public that will be replicated in the new Government Administration Building, when it opens.

“Government is committed to improving services by providing seamless access to the full range of government services and products through the use of modern technology and other innovated means such as one-stop services, effective and efficient services,” it was stated in the release. “The benefits of this approach are an increase in service; cost reduction; improved accessibility, usability; a decrease in waiting times at various service providers.”
