COLE BAY--Caribbean Auto will hold an island motorcade themed “Enjoying the SXM Sites in the All-New 2018 Ford Ecosport!” on Friday. The motorcade begins at 9:00am at the dealership in Cole Bay and will offer one lucky participant a prize of US $500.
The aim is to showcase the versatility of the vehicle and its compatibility with “the diverse lifestyles of our local people,” according to a statement from the authorized Ford dealership.
The motorcade will pass a series of sites of cultural and historical importance as well as tourist attractions. This is “to incorporate that local vibe into the campaign,” said Caribbean Auto Managing Director Tariq Amjad.
The motorcade route covers Caribbean Auto to Bellevue by the border monument, Maho (Sunset/Refuge), Cole Bay Hill lookout, Bush Road, Philipsburg (vicinity of Courthouse), Sucker Garden, Madame Estate, Middle Region, Belvedere border point, Dutch Quarter, A.Th. Illidge Road, Saunders, South Reward, St. Peters, L.B. Scott Road, Cole Bay Hill to Motorworld, then down to Simpson Bay.
The motorcade will end with the EcoSports parked at Rythmn ’n Booze in Simpson Bay. This finale will include the Ecosport Launch Happy Hour from 4:00pm to 6:00pm during which time attendees can register for a test drive and have a complimentary “Ecosport Special” mixed drink.
The dealership invites all Ford owners to the event at which they will receive a discount coupon on completion of their test drive.
The motorcade is coupled with a photo contest via a Facebook campaign on the Caribbean Auto St. Maarten/St. Martin page. Anyone who meets the EcoSports at any motorcade and stops to take a photo can enter to win a US $500 prize.
