British Virgin Islands is going to the final and will face the Dominican Republic in the Battle of the Fittest 5 on 5 Basketball Tournament at L.B. Scott Sports Auditorium. The Team from Tortola advanced Friday  defeating St. Maarten 75-67. The Dominican Republic bested Aruba 95-73. The Teams are competing for a grand prize of US $5,000. The final is set to tip off tonight at 9:00pm.  At 7:00pm St. Maarten will take on Aruba for third place. Admission is US $5 for adults and $3 for children.

Aruba’s Clive Gario comes up with the ball against Curacao in the Battle of the Fittest 5 on 5 Basketball Tournament at L.B. Scott Sports Auditorium Thursday. Aruba beat Curacao and the Dominican Republic pounded St. Eustatius.  Aruba won 89-50 and the Dominican Republic out- scored Statia 122-88. In the late game St. Maarten lost to defending champions Tortola 84-83. Teams are competing for a grand prize of US $5,000. Admission is US $5 for adults and $3 for children. Friday Aruba is set to go up against Dominican Republic starting at 7:00pm and at 9:00pm St. Maarten takes on Tortola again.

ST. EUSTATIUS – Ruvin Pandt was crowned King of the Track at the 2019 St. Eustatius Drag Racing Competition. It was an all Statia finals when Pandt went up against fellow Statia rider, Denicio Spanner and won.

The Battle of the Fittest 5 on 5 Basketball Tournament tipped off at L.B. Scott Sports Auditorium Sunday and runs to July 20.  Teams are competing for a grand prize of US $5,000. Admission is US $5 for adults and $3 for children. Games start at 6:00pm and run to midnight. Last night Aruba squeezed past St. Eustatius 69-64. Tortola beat Curacao 128-52 and in the late game play stopped at 6:36 left in the fourth quarter with Dominican Republic up 84-63 after a beer bottle was thrown on the court. Thursday at 6:00pm Aruba faces Curacao. At 8:00pm Dominican Republic takes on St. Eustatius and starting at 10:00pm Tortola meets St. Maarten.
