PHILIPSBURG--Three armed men carried out a brazen daylight robbery at Helena Jewelers on Front Street around 11:20am on Friday.
Acting police spokesperson Inspector Steven Carty said in a press release that the robbers managed to steal an undisclosed amount of merchandise from the store. After the robbery, the armed men fled the jewellery store. Carty said detectives were on the scene to conduct an investigation into the incident.
He said the investigation is ongoing and “for now this is the only information available.” Carty urged anyone with information about the case to contact the Detective Department at tel. 542-2222. Persons who want to provide information anonymously can contact the police tip line at tel. 9300.
