WILLEMSTAD--Two persons were sentenced in the double killing “The Alley” case in Curaçao on Wednesday. Jurick Hooi (20) and Karoushaney Martina (22) were shot dead inside the Punda nightclub on September 3 last year. Security guard Dhanoursho Frans (26) allowed the gun that fired the fatal shots to be brought into the disco with the help of Dudmar Lindenborg (33). Both received 24 months in prison of which six suspended with three years’ probation. The weapon was allegedly for suspected convicted triggerman Cristefer Martina, whose trial is scheduled for August. He apparently got into an argument with a group of other men that resulted in a shooting during which the two victims were accidentally hit. Romainy Confesor (22) and her boyfriend Raishel de Jongh (30) were acquitted as the judge did not consider it proven they knew there had been a firearm in the handbag returned to the woman by Frans.
